LEVITATE STUDIO POLICIES

1. Check-In & Attendance
  • Arrival begins 15 minutes prior to class, and ends exactly 5 minutes after the class has begun. No late entry will be allowed after the 5 minute grace policy has ended.

  • All students will be required to sign an electronic liability waiver prior to their first class.

2.  Dress Code & Equipment Safety
  • Please wear fitted clothing that covers the back of knees and underarms, or bring a fitted layer with you. No transparent material is allowed.

  • Clothing should be athletic in design and not be excessively baggy. Joints should be mostly visible through the clothes.  

  • We ask our clients to wear clothing that does not include any inflammatory wording: no political or otherwise controversial slogans or messages, no references to drugs or alcohol, no rude words or jokes, or sexually suggestive phrases are permitted. 

  • Remove all jewelry, watches, zippers, or sharp accessories, they could damage you or the equipment.

  • Remove shoes upon arrival to the studio.

  • No body oils or lotions on the day of class.

  • Hair must be secured off the face.

3.  Age & Eligibility

​AGE

  • Minimum age is 16 for adult group classes unless otherwise noted.

  • MINORS (6-18 years old) must have signed parental consent and may be subject to age-specific classes. A parent/legal guardian may be required to remain at the studio during any applicable private sessions or approved group classes for safety and liability reasons.​​

ELIGIBILITY

  • Instructor/studio pre-approval is REQUIRED before attending ANY class higher than our 101/newbie classes, or aerial conditioning.  You must meet the below listed prerequisites in order to sign up for a Level 1-3 class.

  • If you sign up for a class inappropriate for your aerial skill level, you will be removed from the class. If this happens outside of the cancellation window, your class may be forfeited.

HEALTH & SAFETY 

For your safety and the safety of others, all participants must be in good physical condition at the time of their session. If you are currently experiencing any injury or medical condition, you must obtain clearance from a licensed healthcare provider before participating in class.

4.  Respectful Behavior
  • We do not tolerate bullying, discrimination, or disrespectful behavior. This includes but is not limited to behavior based on race, gender, sexual orientation, disability, body type, or cultural background. Any such conduct will result in immediate removal from the studio and permanent loss of class privileges at Levitate.

  • Please follow all instructions from your instructor at all times.

  • No unsolicited spotting or coaching of others.

  • Respect the personal space and safety of all students and staff.

5.  Open Studio Policy
  • Open studio is for independent training only—no instruction is provided.

  • Open studio is for practicing material that you have learned from in-person instruction, or for aerial or ground-based conditioning.  Self-instruction from online sources or instruction from peers is strictly prohibited during this time.

  • Students must have approval from a member of the LEVITATE team in order to attend.

  • Students may not use their own equipment without written pre-approval and inspection of equipment from the studio.

6.  Cancellation Policy
  • You must cancel at least 24 hours in advance for group classes to retain your credit.

  • Private lessons require 24-hour cancellation or are forfeited.

  • Workshops and special events are non-refundable (unless canceled by the studio).

7.  Refunds & Transfers
  • All purchases are final, non-refundable, and non-transferable.

  • Be sure to check the expiration date at the time of purchase and plan to use all sessions before that date, as we’re unable to offer extensions.

8.  Injury Reporting
  • Immediately report any injury that occurs during a session at Levitate to an instructor, no matter how minor.

  • Do not attempt to continue class if injured without clearance from a licensed healthcare professional.

  • In the event that emergency services are required due to an accident, Levitate Studios staff will share your contact information with emergency responders to facilitate communication and care.

9.  Personal Items
  • Levitate Studios NYC is not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please leave valuables at home.

10.  Emergency Procedures
  • Follow staff instructions in case of emergency.

11.  Miscellaneous
  • Drug and alcohol consumption is not permitted prior to or during any classes, trainings, or sessions at Levitate.

  • Food and beverages, with the exception of water in closed containers exclusively, are not allowed in the studio.

  • Please help our studio by cleaning up after yourself. Equipment should be returned, and mats disinfected if used.
